The once peaceful land of Tristrem is now engulfed in chaos. Arrogant elves have pillaged orcish villages, desecrated holy shrines, and mercilessly slaughtered innocents. Forced to flee with a small band of loyal followers, the renowned orc warrior, Orc-Baghyr, vows to reclaim his homeland and seeks to assemble a powerful army.

Meanwhile, the land of Atrixus is being invaded by human knights. Neoleene, a young demoness grieving the loss of her royal father, and her loyal imps stand as the last line of defense against the encroaching horde.

In addition, the ancient Morton clan's castle is under threat from vampire hunters. To seek allies among other dark races, young Daert ventures out from his home. Only by uniting can they hope to repel the vampire hunters and protect their ancestral stronghold.

The destinies of these three heroes intertwine as they convene within the depths of the Black Cave—a place where the forces of Light long ago sealed away an Ancient Evil. Vowing to fight for the survival of their races, the heroes exchange sacred artifacts before mustering their armies and marching forth to face the impending threat.
